Here are some examples of work performed over past 20 years for top international clients.
01
M&A Programme Leadership for NEC Europe
Montague Global Ltd provided senior programme leadership and strategic coordination to the CFO and executive leadership of NEC Europe during complex M&A transactions and corporate restructuring initiatives.
Operating at the intersection of finance, operations, and technology, Montague Global acted as a single point of coordination across internal leadership, external advisors, and multiple operational workstreams, ensuring the disciplined execution of high-value transactions from late-stage due diligence through closing and post-transaction separation.
Among the most notable engagements was the carve-out and sale of NEC’s Wireless Transport business to Aviat Networks, a transaction valued at approximately $65.5 million. Montague Global played a central role in coordinating the operational separation of the business across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with NEC Europe’s CFO, legal advisors, finance teams, and technical leadership to ensure a smooth and controlled transition.
In parallel, Montague Global supported additional strategic divestiture and restructuring initiatives within NEC Europe, including the sale of NEC’s Unified Communications business to Comtel, where careful programme governance, separation planning, and cross-functional coordination were critical to achieving transaction objectives while protecting operational continuity.
By providing independent programme leadership and a centralised coordination function, Montague Global enabled NEC’s executive leadership to maintain strategic focus while ensuring that the numerous operational, financial, legal, and technical elements of the transactions progressed in a controlled and transparent manner.
This model delivered several key advantages:
-
Clear executive oversight through a single senior point of contact for the CFO and leadership team
-
Structured governance across multiple workstreams, including finance, HR, legal, premises, IT, sales, and operations
-
Reduced execution risk through disciplined programme management and cross-jurisdiction coordination
-
Accelerated decision-making and issue resolution during critical transaction milestones
-
Successful implementation of separation and Target Operating Models, enabling the divested entities to operate independently post-transaction
Montague Global’s involvement ensured that complex transactions involving international teams, multiple legal entities, and critical operational dependencies were executed with clarity, discipline, and minimal disruption to NEC’s ongoing business operations. The firm’s approach combines strategic advisory, programme leadership, and operational execution, providing senior executives with the confidence that the most complex phases of the M&A lifecycle are managed with precision and accountability.
